Program Structure

Official Member roles are divided into 3 main tiers: Member, Senior Member, and Elite Member.

The Community role is a preliminary step to becoming an official member and the Senate will help oversee the program. Below, you will find more information on each group/tier.

Community

Entry level to the program. Open to everyone in the community. Not yet members but a stepping stone to becoming one. The community role is designed for those who are interested in becoming members but do not yet want to apply. You can come and join the discord, feel it out and when you feel you are ready, you can take the next step towards becoming a member.

Benefits:

• New role with access to extra channels on Discord.

• Training and education are provided.

Requirements:

• Join the Team1 Discord Server.

Members

Officially recognized as Avalanche Team1 members. Those who have been accepted through the official Team1 member application process. At this level, you will get access to reimbursement grants for events and activities. You will get access to ecosystem bounties from Avalanche and Team1 Partners. Note: You do not need the Community role to apply to be a member. You can go straight to the application page.

• Access to reimbursement grants to organize IRL/digital events.

• Access to a pool of paid bounties from Avalanche and its ecosystem projects.

• Merchandise (for active members)

• Grant opportunities.

• Free Avalanche Summit 4 Ticket (for active members)

Requirements:

• Approval through the official Team1 member application process. We are mainly looking for the following: - Ability to run IRL events (tech or nontech based) - Ability to create cool and engaging content with a track record. - Can integrate Avalanche into universities. - Can positively promote the Avalanche network both online and offline.

Senior Members

Highest performing members can be promoted to Senior Members. Senior Members will be more empowered, can start overseeing parts of Team1, will help mentor new members, and become more involved in recruitment.

Requirements:

• Reach a certain XP threshold within Team1 by organizing events (IRL/Digital), completing bounties, and contributing to the program.

• Refer 3 members who are approved. One of whom successfully organizes a community IRL event.

• Avalanche Fundamentals Certificate.

• Help Integrate Avalanche into one University (e.g., introduce us to a qualified University or organize a 2-hour workshop for CS students and onboard those students to Avalanche groups/Academy, etc.)

Elite Members

Elite Members have a deep understanding of the Avalanche Network and understand how to defend and promote it in social situations (online/offline). A mix of proven OGs/builders from the Avalanche Ecosystem and members who have elevated through the program. We want to bring in some already well known and strong personalities but also help build up new members through the program. Elite Members are the highest and most exclusive level of Team1.

• Marketing support to help them grow their brand/profile.

• Exclusive networking access.

• Grant opportunities.

Requirements:

• We plan to have a maximum of 12 Elite Members. Requirements will be provided to those who reach the Senior Member level.

The Senate

Panel of 5 overseeing the program. The senate will gradually delegate leadership to Senior and Elite Members as the program evolves. The goal is to empower the Avalanche community to help run one of the biggest community-driven programs in Web3.

Responsibilities:

• Get the program up and running.

• Provide support, mentorship, direction & drive.

• Connect members and approve funding.

Team1 Partners

A group of proven projects from the Avalanche Ecosystem that want to partner with Avalanche Team1 and support the Avalanche Community. These projects can add paid bounties into the pool for members to complete. This will help create a flow of fresh and interesting opportunities for members while giving the projects access to a global network of talent to help them grow.
